Bank Holiday Madness May 2026 - Staines-upon-Thames
This is a 7 hour Time Challenge event held from The Last Hop in Staines, where participants choose how far to run within the time limit. The minimum recorded distance is 3 km. A standard lap is quoted as 7 km (4.37 miles) though the course may be adjusted to a shorter loop depending on conditions. Within the lap there are 3 km and 5 km turn points to allow compliance with age-distance rules.
Course surfaces are mainly well-made paths and tarmac with a short grass section. The route runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. Road shoes are suitable year-round. The regular course may be changed subject to health and safety review and landowner approval.
Finisher recognition is provided: completing one lap qualifies as an official finish and earns a medal. Distance pins are awarded for half-marathon distance and above; available pins include Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50 km and Ultra. Finishers receive a goody bag, with a vegan option available.
Support at the venue includes an aid and drinks table at the start/finish of each lap offering savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Toilets are available at The Last Hop; there are no separate changing rooms or showers. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, Staines TW18 4TP.
Event entry prices vary; members receive a lower entry price, guaranteed entry and a mini-pin at events. Number pick up is on the day at race registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
