Event overview
Bank Holiday Madness May 2026 is organised by Saturn Too (a franchise partner of Saturn Running) and takes place on 4 May 2026 at The Last Hop, Unit 2, Thames Edge Court, Clarence Street, Staines, TW18 4SU. The event is run as a 7-hour Time Challenge, which lets participants choose how far they run within the time limit. Entry fees listed range from £18 to £27; a member entry price of £20 is available to members and members are guaranteed entry and receive a medal pin at each event they attend. Headphones are allowed.
Course, distances, facilities and services
The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed and is mainly well-made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section; road shoes are suitable year round. A full lap is described as 7 km (4.37 miles) but may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. The minimum distance is 3 km. A 3 km turn point and 5 km turn point are provided within the lap. Typical lap counts given: 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon, 7 or more for an ultra; a 50 km option is available.
Facilities at the venue include toilets and changing rooms (open from 8am for the event). Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, Staines, TW18 4TP. An aid and drinks table is provided at the start/finish of each lap with a selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Finishers who complete at least one lap receive a medal and goody bag; distance pins are supplied for half-marathon and longer distances.
