Bank Holiday Madness May 2026 - Staines upon Thames
Bank Holiday Madness May 2026 is a seven hour Time Challenge organised by Saturn Too at The Last Hop, Thames Edge Court, Clarence Street, Staines TW18 4SU on 4 May 2026. Entrants may run as many or as few laps as they wish within the seven hour window, subject to UK Athletics age restrictions.
A full lap measures 4.37 miles (about 7 km) but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. The minimum distance is 3 km, and the lap includes 3 km and 5 km turn points to help younger participants comply with distance rules. The lap counts are 3 for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon and 7 or more for an ultra. A 50 km option is also available.
The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. Surfaces are mainly well made paths and tarmac with a short grass section; road shoes are suitable. Aid and drinks tables are provided at the start and finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Finishers who complete at least one lap receive a medal and distance pins for half marathon and longer distances. Goody bags are provided, including a vegan option.
Toilets and changing facilities are available at the venue. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, Staines TW18 4TP. Headphones are allowed.
