Event Overview
The Windsor 50 Ultra Challenge takes place on Saturday, 18 April 2026. The event is based at Windsor Racecourse, with participants starting and finishing there. It offers several route distances.
Distances
The available distances are:
- 50 km with 320 m of elevation, consisting of two different 25 km loops in a figure-of-eight route.
- 25 km with 175 m of elevation.
- 10 km with approximately 25 m of elevation.
Route and Terrain
The looped routes travel through the Great Park with views of Windsor Castle, continue on to Runnymede, and follow sections of the Thames Path. The event takes in surrounding countryside. There is a Solo Challenger start time for individuals wanting to meet others.
Participant Options
There are specific categories for different paces. The Ultra March option is for walkers aiming to complete 50 km in less than 12 hours. The Trailblazerz option is for faster, competitive runners with a focus on time goals.
On-Site Support
The event provides rest stops roughly every 12.5 km, offering snacks and drinks. For the 50 km distance, a picnic lunch is available at the 25 km mark and hot food at the finish. The 25 km and 10 km distances include a picnic lunch at the finish. Medical, podiatry, and massage teams are present at rest stops.
Amenities and Logistics
