The Big Mile
The Big Mile is a free, family-friendly mass participation event that takes place on the same finishing stretch as The Big Half by the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. It is presented as an event suitable for first-time runners, families with children and people who want to get more active. The event date is Sunday 6 September 2026.
The route starts on Creek Road and finishes next to the Cutty Sark, Greenwich. The terrain is road with a fast and flat profile. The event offers timed results and event photography. Participants receive BUXTON Natural Mineral Water and there is an optional finisher’s medal. There is also an option to plant a tree with Trees Not Tees.
Facilities are provided for a range of needs. Toilets include accessible toilets. A Free Festival Area in Greenwich Park is available for celebration with family and friends. The event includes a Sensory Calm Space, a Parent and Child Space for breastfeeding, pumping and entertaining young children, and a Multi Faith Prayer Space.
