The Big Mile
The Big Mile is a free, family friendly mass participation event held on the same finishing stretch as The Big Half by the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. The event is scheduled for Sunday 6 September 2026 and covers a distance of one mile.
The course starts on Creek Road and finishes next to the Cutty Sark. The terrain is road and is described as fast and flat.
Participants receive event photography, timed results, BUXTON Natural Mineral Water, and there is an optional finisher’s medal. There is also an option to plant a tree with Trees Not Tees.
On-site facilities include toilets, including accessible toilets, and a free Festival Area in Greenwich Park where participants can celebrate with family and friends. Additional provisions listed are a Sensory Calm Space, a Parent and Child Space for breastfeeding, pumping and entertaining young children, and a Multi Faith Prayer Space.
