Event overview

The Big Half is a city half marathon presented as an inclusive event that highlights the diversity of London and the communities along the route. The course passes through four London boroughs: Tower Hamlets, Southwark, Lewisham and Greenwich. The event first took place in 2018 and uses central city landmarks as reference points on the route.

The start is at Tower Bridge and the finish is by the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. The event programme includes several ways to take part, listed below, and provides participant guides and a training hub for runners. Volunteers are involved in event delivery and support on the day.
