Event Format

The event is a seven-hour timed challenge. Participants can choose the distance they run within the event timeframe, with a minimum distance of 3 km. The standard lap is approximately 7 km (4.37 miles), subject to change to a 3.28-mile loop based on conditions. Distances are achieved by completing laps: 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon, and 7 or more for an ultra marathon. There are also turn points within the lap for 3 km and 5 km distances to accommodate younger runners.

Course

The route follows a stretch of the River Thames on well-made paths and tarmac, with a very short grass section. The course is fully signed. Road shoes are suitable for the terrain year-round.

Venue and Facilities

The event takes place at the Wraysbury Skiff & Punting Club in Egham. Parking is available at the nearby Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Toilets, changing facilities, and a café are located at the race HQ. An unmanned bag drop is available near the start/finish line.

Amenities

All finishers completing at least 3 km receive a medal and a goody bag, with a vegan option available. An aid station at the start/finish area offers a selection of food and drinks. Distance pins for the medal ribbon are awarded for completing a half marathon or longer.

Participation

The event is open to runners and walkers. Headphones are permitted. Participants are asked to be considerate of other users as the paths are public. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
