SATURN Remembrance Run 2026 - North East, Durham
This is a timed Remembrance run held in Durham at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Ln, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU, UK. The course follows a stretch of the River Wear with views of the Cathedral and is classified as a trail run. It is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. A two minute silence will be observed during the event and two minutes will be deducted from recorded times.
Distances and lap structure:
- Minimum distance: 3 km (part of a lap)
- Full lap: 4.37 miles / 7 km (may change to 3.28 miles)
- Half marathon: 3 laps
- Marathon: 6 laps
- Ultra: 7 or more laps
- 50 km: available
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a Remembrance medal. Distance pins are available for half marathon and longer distances and are attached to the medal ribbon to reflect achievement. All finishers receive a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is available. An aid table and drinks are provided at the start/finish of each lap with savoury and sweet options including vegan choices.
Facilities include toilets, showers and a bar at the rowing club, non secure bag drop at the start/finish, and nearby free on street or pay and display parking. Headphones are allowed.
