Saturn 7 Hour Time Challenge - New Herrington
This is a 7 hour timed running event held within Herrington Country Park. Participants choose how many laps to complete on a looped course; the final route will be confirmed a few weeks before the event. The event has a Britney theme and participants may wear themed outfits. Finisher medals are given to anyone completing at least 3 km.
Distances and lap details include:
- Minimum distance 3 km, part of a lap
- Full lap typically 4.37 miles / 7 km
- Course may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on conditions
- 3 km and 5 km turn points are provided inside the lap
- Half marathon = 3 laps, marathon = 6 laps, ultra = 7+ laps; 50 km available
Support and facilities: an aid table and drinks table are available at the start/finish of each lap with drinks and a selection of snacks including vegan options. Toilets and changing facilities are at the venue HQ. Parking is available. A bag drop is provided but is not secure. Headphones are allowed and the event uses public footpaths.
Entries, age and event limits: maximum 300 entrants. Minimum age 12 years. Runners aged 18 or 19 may run up to 45 km; anyone running over 45 km must be at least 20 years old.
