Event overview
The Durham City Run Festival takes place in Durham, County Durham. The event includes city centre road races that run through narrow cobbled streets and along the River Wear, with the cathedral and Palace Green on the route. Entry and rules
Entry fees listed for the 2026 event are: 10K £25.50-£27.50 and 5K £16.50. Minimum ages are 15 for the 10K and 12 for the 5K. Families on Track is a team event priced at £45 per team. Teams must have 3 to 5 members, at least one team member over 18, the team captain over 18, at least one member under 16, and the minimum age to take part is 4.
Race services and prizes
Race services mentioned include electronic chip timing, secure baggage drop, a medal and goody bag for all finishers, and post race massage.
