Durham City Run Festival
Durham City Run Festival is a midsummer running event in Durham, County Durham. The festival includes evening road races that pass the city’s World Heritage Site, narrow cobbled streets and the River Wear, with the city cathedral and Palace Green on the finish. A family team relay, Families on Track, is held separately at Durham Racecourse. The event lists the Radisson Blu Hotel Durham as the event address.
Races and race services
- 10K : minimum age 15; entry £25.50-£27.50.
- 5K : minimum age 12; entry £16.50.
- Families on Track (team) : team cost £45; teams of 3-5; minimum age 4.
All finishers receive a medal and goody bag. The event offers secure baggage drop, electronic chip timing, post-race massage, and prizes for the top three male and female finishers plus the first finishers in V40, V50, V60 and V70 categories. Team rules for Families on Track require at least one team member over 18, the team captain to be over 18, and at least one team member under 16.
