Durham City Run Festival
The Durham City Run Festival is a midsummer running event in Durham. The 2026 event marks the tenth anniversary. The Thursday evening program features two city races that both finish at Palace Green. A family team relay called Families on Track takes place on Saturday at Durham Racecourse.
The courses run through the city’s historic streets and along the River Wear and pass narrow cobbled sections. The finish area is at Palace Green, with the 900 year old Cathedral adjacent to the finish.

- 10K city circuit finishing at Palace Green
Services and prizes listed for the event include a medal and goody bag for all finishers, secure baggage drop, electronic chip timing, post race massage, and prizes for the top three male and female finishers.
