Durham City Run Festival

Durham City Run Festival takes place from 16 to 18 July 2026 and marks the event's tenth anniversary. The programme includes evening road races through the historic city centre, with routes that pass several of Durham's notable landmarks. Participants receive a medal and a goody bag.

Paula's Families on Track returns on Saturday 18 July as a team relay event with multiple lap lengths, fancy dress and family-oriented activities. The festival also opens with a film screening and live podcast event titled Paula Radcliffe: Chasing Stars, a documentary that follows Paula Radcliffe's effort to complete all six Abbott World Marathon Majors.
