Durham City Run Festival
The Durham City Run Festival is a midsummer running event in Durham, County Durham. It includes evening road races and a family team relay at Durham Racecourse. The 5K and 10K take place on Thursday evening, while the Families on Track relay is held on Saturday.

The Families on Track event is a team relay that costs £45 per team. Teams must have three to five members, with at least one member over 18 and one under 16. The team captain must be over 18. The minimum age to take part in the family relay is 4 years.
Routes run through the city’s narrow cobbled streets and along the River Wear, with finishes on Palace Green by the 900 year old cathedral. Race services include a medal and goody bag for finishers, secure baggage drop, electronic chip timing, and post race massage. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers and to the first competitors in the V40, V50, V60, and V70 categories. Entry prices listed for recent events were £28.50 for the 10K and £17.50 for the 5K; minimum ages were 15 for the 10K and 12 for the 5K.
