The Durham City Run Festival is a midsummer running event in Durham, County Durham. The festival includes city centre road races that pass through cobbled streets and along the River Wear, with the cathedral and Palace Green used as route landmarks. Races finish at Palace Green.

Format, entries and facilities
The 5K and 10K are held on a Thursday evening in July, with the main event shown as 16 July 2026. Race services include a medal and goody bag for all finishers, secure baggage drop, electronic chip timing, post-race massage, and prizes for the top three male and female finishers and the first finishers in V40, V50, V60 and V70 categories.
Entry fees and minimum ages listed are: 10K priced at £25.50-£27.50 with a minimum age of 15, and 5K priced at £16.50 with a minimum age of 12. A separate Families on Track team relay takes place on a different day at Durham Racecourse. Team entry for Families on Track is £45 per team; teams must have 3 to 5 members, at least one team member and the team captain over 18, at least one team member under 16, and the minimum age to take part is 4.
