SATURN - The Summer Lucky Dip Run 2026
The Summer Lucky Dip Run is a 7 hour time challenge event held along the River Thames in Staines-upon-Thames. This format provides participants with control over their total distance, requiring a minimum of 3 km to be recognized as an official finisher. The event is open to runners of all abilities and walkers.
The course consists of a lap measuring 7 km (4.37 miles), which may be adjusted to a 5.28 km (3.28 mile) loop depending on conditions. The route primarily utilizes well-made paths and tarmac with a small grass section. It is a flat course and fully signed, meaning no navigational experience is necessary.
Participants can achieve several benchmark distances depending on the number of laps completed:
- 21.1 km (Half Marathon): 3 laps
- 42.2 km (Marathon): 6 laps
- 50 km: Specified lap count
- Ultra Marathon: 7 or more laps
The event includes an aid station at the start and finish of each lap, featuring a variety of sweet and savoury items, fruit, cheese, and vegan options. Finishers receive a goody bag and can select a medal from a collection of previous event designs. Distance pins are awarded for completing a half marathon or further. Facilities at the venue headquarters include toilets and changing rooms, available from 8:00 am. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
