SATURN - Rocky at 50 Run
This is a seven-hour timed running event held on Saturday, 16 May 2026, at The Last Hop in Staines. Participants may run any distance they choose within the seven-hour period; the minimum official finishing distance is 3 km.
The lap is described as 4.37 miles (about 7 km) but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. There are 3 km and 5 km turn points within the lap to allow compliance with UK Athletics age rules. Typical lap counts: three laps for a half marathon, six for a marathon, seven or more for an ultra; a 50 km distance is also offered. Runners aged 12 and over may enter; anyone wanting to run over 45 km must be at least 20 years old.
The out-and-back course follows a stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed and mainly on well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section; road shoes are suitable year round. An aid and drinks table is available at the start/finish area on each lap with a selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items.
All finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a Rocky-themed medal and a goody bag, with a vegan option. Distance pins are issued for half-marathon distances and above.
