Chiltern Hills 100K

The Chiltern Hills 100K is a trail ultra marathon held in the Chiltern Hills on 9th May 2026. The race distance is 100K with 1800m+ of elevation. The event base is Chesham Guides Headquarters in Lowndes Park, Chesham, Buckinghamshire (HP5 1HX). The race is TRA licensed, holds a UTMB World Series index, and is limited to 250 runners. GPS tracking and chip timing with live results are used. The race has a time allowance of 18 hours and a minimum age of 20.

Route, checkpoints and requirements

The route is an anticlockwise loop starting and finishing in Chesham and passing landmarks such as the Ashridge Estate, The Ridgeway, Coombe Hill, Whiteleaf Hill, Bledlow Ridge and Great Hampden before returning via Great Missenden. The course is fully marked and runners must also carry a GPX route and a printed map.

There are six checkpoints with water and food, and many have toilets. Key aid locations include Hastoe (14K and 41.4K), Little Gaddesden (28K), Whiteleaf Hill (57.8K), Bledlow Ridge Village Hall (75.3K) and Little Hampden (88K). Required kit carried for the whole race includes a mobile phone with emergency number, route GPX, a refillable hydration system (0.5L min), waterproof or windproof jacket, head torch with spare battery, warm hat and gloves, basic first aid items, a reusable cup and a payment method.
