Event overview
The Chiltern Hills 100K is a trail ultra held on 9 May 2026. The race distance is 100K with 1800m+ of elevation. The event base is Chesham Guides HQ in Lowndes Park, Chesham, Buckinghamshire HP5 1HX. The field is limited to 250 runners and entrants must be at least 20 years old. The race is TRA licensed, held under UKA rules, and listed as a UTMB World Series Index Race. GPS open tracking and chip timing with live results are provided. Entry fee is £152 (£150 for affiliated runners).
Route and logistics
The route is an anticlockwise loop starting and finishing in Chesham and passes landmarks in the Chiltern Hills including the Ashridge Estate, Little Gaddesden, The Ridgeway, Tring Park, Wendover, Coombe Hill, Whiteleaf Hill, Bledlow Ridge, Great Hampden and Great Missenden. The race is fully marked and runners must also carry the GPX route provided at registration.
There are six checkpoints with planned locations and distances: Hastoe (14 km and 41.4 km), Little Gaddesden (28 km), Whiteleaf Hill (57.8 km), Bledlow Ridge Village Hall (75.3 km) and Little Hampden (88 km). A drop bag point is available at Hastoe.
Aid stations and required kit
Aid stations supply water, cola, pre-mixed electrolyte drink, gels, chews, snacks, pre-made sandwiches, flapjacks and fresh fruit; hot drinks are available at selected checkpoints. Mandatory kit includes a mobile phone, GPX on device, refillable hydration (minimum 0.5 L), waterproof/windproof jacket, spare layers and leg cover, head torch with spare battery, warm hat/gloves, reusable cup, basic first aid, payment method (~£20) and race nutrition.
