Saturn 7 Hour Time Challenge : Staines-upon-Thames
Saturn's seven hour timed event in Staines-upon-Thames on Saturday 18 April 2026 lets participants control how far they run within the time limit. The event has a minimum distance of 3 km and a looped course with shorter turn points to meet UK Athletics age rules.
Distances
- Minimum distance 3 km.
- Standard lap 4.37 miles / 7 km, may change to a 3.28 mile loop.
- Half marathon requires 3 laps.
- Marathon requires 6 laps.
- Ultra requires 7 or more laps.
- 50 km option is available.
The course follows a riverside stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed and mainly on well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section, so road shoes are suitable. There are 3 km and 5 km turn points on the lap to accommodate younger entrants under UK Athletics rules.
All finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a London themed medal and a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is provided. Distance pins are available for half-marathon, mega-half, marathon, 50 km and ultra achievements. Aid and drinks tables are provided at the start/finish area each lap with a range of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items.
On-site toilets, changing facilities and an unsecured bag drop are available at the venue. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, Staines TW18 4TP. Maximum entrants 300. Entries close 17 April 2026. Minimum age 12 years. Transfers and deferrals are available for specified fees; distance limits apply for younger entrants.
