Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park 10k
The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park race takes place within the South Park grounds of London's Olympic venue. This event features a flat course on tarmac paths with a total elevation of 3 meters. The race supports Special Olympics Great Britain, an organization providing sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
Participants can choose between two chip-timed distances:
- 5 km: A two-lap course on tarmac.
- 10 km: A four-lap course on tarmac.
The route is marked with distance flags at every kilometre, and marshals are positioned throughout the course to provide guidance. The venue includes an event village where various food and drink options are available. Participants receive a themed medal, water, and post-race goodies upon completion. Free race photos are also provided to all runners.
The event utilizes electronic chip timing to provide accurate results for all participants. The course is designed to be fast and is held entirely on paved surfaces.
