Event Overview
The Thames Path 100 (TP100) is a 100-mile point-to-point continuous trail race. The course follows the Thames Path from Richmond in south-west London to the city centre of Oxford. This is the 15th annual edition of the race.
Course Details
The 100-mile route is mostly flat, with a total elevation gain of 1,900 feet (560 metres). The majority of the course is on groomed paths, trails, and paved walkways, with approximately 25% paved and 75% trail. It is a fully marked course using permanent national trail markers and additional race-specific signage.
Race Information
The event has an overall time limit of 30 hours, with intermediate cut-offs at aid stations. There are 13 aid stations along the route, providing a range of food and drinks, including hot food and drinks at specific locations from the midway point. The race is limited to 300 starters.
Awards and Recognition
All finishers receive a 100-mile Centurion buckle. Special '100 miles - One Day' buckles are awarded to runners who finish in under 24 hours. Trophies are awarded to the first male and female finishers, with additional prizes for second and third places and age group categories.
Participant Requirements
Entry requires a qualification standard: completion of a minimum 50-mile race within 15 hours between 1st January 2020 and race day. Runners must carry mandatory equipment, including a waterproof jacket, headtorch, survival blanket, and mobile phone. Pacers are permitted from the 51-mile point, and crew access is allowed at specified locations only. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
