Event overview
The Thames Path 100 is a marked point-to-point trail race on 2 May 2026. The race covers 100 miles (161 km) along the Thames Path from Richmond in London to the centre of Oxford, finishing in the grounds of Oxford University. The course has total climb of about 1900 ft (560 m), a 30 hour finish cut-off, and is largely on groomed paths and paved pathways. Terrain is listed as roughly 75% trail and 25% paved. The route is marked with National Trail markers and organiser signage.
Entry, support and rules
Entry fees are listed as £220 (with a £222 fee for unaffiliated runners). The event has a minimum age of 20 and a qualification standard: completion of a 50 mile race within 15 hours between 1 January 2020 and race day. Entries are currently full; new entrants are placed on a waiting list.
There will be a minimum of twelve aid stations providing water, sports nutrition, hot drinks from Hurley onwards, and hot food at specific stations and the finish. Drop bags are available at Henley (mile 51), Goring (mile 71) and the finish. Pacers are permitted from Henley and must travel on foot. Medical cover is provided on course; in serious emergencies runners should contact emergency services. Mandatory kit is required and will be checked; missing items may incur a one hour time penalty. Finishers receive a 100 mile Centurion buckle, with different buckles for sub-24 hour and 24-30 hour finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
