Event overview
The SATURN Midweek Chasing Numbers is a 7-hour timed running event held on Friday, 1 May 2026 at Wraysbury Skiff & Punting Club, Egham (TW20 0AE). The event is limited to 300 entrants. Entries close 30/04/2026. Minimum age to enter is 12 years. Entry fees listed are Affiliated £25.00 and Unattached £27.00. Transfers are allowed for £2.50 up to the day before the event; later deferrals to another event are available for a fee of £18. Age rules: runners over 45 km must be at least 20 years old; 18 and 19 year olds may run up to 45 km.
Format and distances
The event is a flexible time challenge that lets participants control their distance within the 7-hour limit. Distances and lap structure include:
- 3 km minimum finisher distance.
- 7 km full lap (4.37 miles); may change to a 3.28 mile loop.
- Half marathon: 3 laps.
- Marathon: 6 laps.
- Ultra: 7 or more laps.
- 50 km distance available.
A 3k turn point and 5k turn point are provided on the lap to help comply with age restrictions.
Course, facilities and services
The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames, is fully signed, and is mainly well-made paths and tarmac with a short grass section. Road shoes are suitable year round. Toilets and changing facilities are available at race HQ, which also includes a cafe. There is a large pay-on-exit car park at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds near the start. A bag drop is provided but is unmanned and items are left at participants’ own risk. Headphones are allowed. The event takes place on public footpaths; participants are asked to be considerate of other path users.
Aid, awards and extras
An aid table and drinks table are available at the start/finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a medal and a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is available. Distance pins are issued for half-marathon and higher achievements and are attached to the medal ribbon. Special event numbers can be provided for milestone events (for example 50th, 100th).
