SATURN TOO - The Nearly But Not Quite London Marathon - Wales
This is a 7 hour timed running event at Dare Valley Country Park on Sunday 26 April 2026. The course uses well maintained footpaths with countryside views and is described as suitable for road trainers. The regular loop may be adjusted after a health and safety review.
Runners control their own distance. Concrete course details include:
- Minimum distance 3 km
- Full lap 4.37 miles (7 km) subject to change to a 3.28 mile loop
- 3 km and 5 km turn points within the lap
- 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 laps for a marathon, 7 or more for an ultra
- 50 km distance available
Age and entry limits apply. Minimum age is 12 years. Anyone wishing to run over 45 km must be 20 years or older; 18 and 19 year olds may run up to 45 km. Maximum entries are 300 and entries close 25/04/2026.
Event services and provisions include toilets, a café at race HQ, free parking, an aid and drinks table each lap with snacks and vegan options, a non-secure bag area, and number pick up on the day. Bone conducting headphones only are allowed. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal and goody bag, with distance pins for half-marathon, mega-half, marathon, 50 km and ultra finishes.
