Event overview
SATURN TOO - The Dashing Dog Charity Run is a charity 7-hour timed running event at Dare Valley Country Park in Wales. The event supports local dog rehoming centres through a mandatory £2 surcharge per entry, an optional £3 pin donation that is matched by the organiser, and a pledge to donate 10% of race profits for entry-only options. The event has a maximum of 150 entrants and entries close on 14 March 2026. Minimum age to enter is 12 years.
Format, course and facilities
The event uses well maintained footpaths around the country park on a largely flat trail suitable for road trainers. Key race details:
- Minimum distance: 3 km
- Full lap: 7 km (4.37 miles; may change to a 3.28 mile loop)
- Half-marathon: 3 laps
- Marathon: 6 laps
- Ultra: 7 laps or more
- 50 km option available
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal and a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is offered. Distance pins are available for half-marathon and longer and one pin is added to the medal ribbon. There is an aid table with a variety of food and drinks at the lap start/finish, toilets on site, a cafe by race HQ, free parking, and an unsecured bag drop. Bone conducting headphones only are allowed. Age restrictions apply for distances over 45 km. Transfers and deferrals are available under organiser terms.
