About the race
The SARR Turkey Trot at The Rim Trailhead in San Antonio presents multiple in person and virtual running options on Thanksgiving. The event offers a mix of live and virtual distances and includes a dedicated kids run.
Event distances include:
- 4 Mile (live, chip timed, awards for top finishers)
- 2 Mile (live, not timed)
- Kids Pumpkin Dash (quarter mile, open to ages 10 and under)
- Virtual 4 Mile
- Virtual 2 Mile
Registration fees are listed for the adult distances at 4 Mile $35 and 2 Mile $30. The organizer indicates that $5 from each paid 2 Mile or 4 Mile registration is donated to the charity partner Street2Feet. Virtual participants must add shipping to have packets mailed or may pick up packets at packet pickup without an extra charge.
All finishers receive a medal. Registrants for the 4 Mile and 2 Mile are eligible to receive a long sleeve tee or a hoodie in sizes YS through 3X; shirts are not guaranteed during the race week. The live 4 Mile is the only timed event and is the only distance with awards. The 2 Mile and the kids dash are not timed and will not have awards.
