One In A Million 5K Run/Walk - Race information
The One In A Million 5K Run/Walk is an annual charity event held at Lady Bird Johnson Park in San Antonio, Texas. The event raises funds for PMP Pals, a global network that supports patients and caregivers living beyond an Appendix Cancer diagnosis and related conditions such as Pseudomyxoma Peritonei. Net proceeds support mentoring, one-on-one contact, twice-weekly online community meetings, an annual in-person meet-up, card-writing, and medical community outreach.
The event began in 2024 and this edition is the third annual. Educational signs about PMP and Appendix Cancer will be displayed around the event area, highlighting self-advocacy, listening to one’s body, and the role of exercise in health.
