About the race
El Grito Run 5K is a chip timed 5-kilometre event at Mission County Park, 6030 Padre Dr, San Antonio, TX. Participants gather at the Rotunda Pavilion. A virtual race option is available for those who cannot attend in person.
Packet pick-up is at Shotgun House / Mural Coffee Roasters, 1333 Buena Vista St, San Antonio, TX 78207, on Saturday, September 19 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Someone else may pick up a packet on a participant's behalf. T-shirt sizes requested after August 25 are not guaranteed; additional shirts will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Race categories are offered for male and female divisions in age groups 0-13, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Registration includes a race T-shirt, a unique finisher medal, refreshments, free professional race pictures, and chip timing. Unique awards are planned for top male and female overall winners and first places in each age group.
Organizers note that entry fees are non-refundable for any reason. The event offers space for small businesses, food stands, and local brands to connect with an expected audience of over 400 runners and spectators. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
