SARR Freedom Day Run : overview
The SARR Freedom Day Run takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in San Antonio, TX. The event is organized at McAllister Park - Pavilion #2, 13298 Buckhorn Rd, US 78247. Multiple race formats are offered, including in-person and virtual options. Refunds are not allowed for this race.

The in-person 4-Miler is chip-timed and offers awards for overall places and 5-year age groups (top three). The 2-Miler is a fun run/walk and is not chip-timed. Finisher medals are provided for all participants. A costume contest and post-race food and refreshments are planned. Shirts in adult and youth sizes are available while supplies last.
The virtual 4-Miler and 2-Miler allow participants to run or walk from any location, self-time their effort, submit results, and download a finisher certificate. Virtual participants may choose packet shipping for an extra cost or pick up their packet at in-person packet pickup.
Logistics and additional notes
Packet pickup is offered before race day and on race day at McAllister Park; packet mailing is an add-on at registration. Awards for the 4-Miler must be picked up on race day. Discounts apply: SARR members receive 25% off the 4-Miler and 2-Miler with online registration through June 7, 2026; active-duty military receive a $5 discount on the 4-Miler through June 7, 2026; runners age 24 or younger and age 70+ receive a 50% discount on the 4-Miler through June 7, 2026.
