SARR Freedom Day Run
The SARR Freedom Day Run on July 4, 2027 takes place at McAllister Park Pavilion #2 in San Antonio, TX. The event includes live and virtual options, multiple distances, and participant amenities.
The live schedule includes a chip-timed 4-Miler with awards and untimed runs for the 2-Miler and Li'l Firecrackers 400 m Kids Run. Awards for the 4-Miler are given overall and in five-year age groups for the top three finishers; awards must be picked up on race day. Finisher medals are provided for all participants. Post-race food and refreshments are available. Shirts are offered in adult and youth sizes while supplies last; youth sizes for virtual entries are limited.
Virtual entries are available for the 4-Miler and 2-Miler. Virtual participants can run from any location, download and print a race bib, submit results, and download a finisher certificate. Virtual race completion and result submission are accepted between July 4, 2027 and July 25, 2027.
Packet shipping is not automatic; packets can be picked up at pre-race packet pickup or mailed for an additional fee. Registration opens on September 30, 2026 and closes on June 2, 2027. Refunds are not allowed. Packet pickup location is to be determined.
