Event Overview
Santa's Toy Trot is an athletic event held at Shorefront Park in Patchogue, New York. The gathering features a USATF certified 5K course that takes participants through the local area regardless of weather conditions. The 5K race includes a pacing team to assist runners with various time goals, specifically for those aiming for sub 30, 40, or 50 minute finishes.
Amenities and Facilities
Participants receive a high-quality long-sleeve shirt and a race bib, which can be personalized with the runner's name if registration is completed at least three weeks before the event. A heated tent with a capacity for 1,200 people is provided on-site. Post-race refreshments include beer, cookies, yogurt muffins, and cupcakes, accompanied by live music.
For those traveling from New York City, transportation is available from the Patchogue Train Station. Bib pickup is organized both on the day prior to the race at a local restaurant and at the race site on the morning of the event.
Awards and Recognition
Cash prizes are awarded to the top three male and female overall finishers, with additional bonuses for breaking course records. Awards are also distributed to the top three finishers in age groups ranging from 10 and under to 80 and over, as well as the top three masters finishers. Special categories for recognition include the top police, fire, and military participants, along with specific awards for Patchogue Village residents.
