Santa's Fun Run - Le Mars
Santa's Fun Run is a holiday-themed event held in Le Mars as part of the Christmas in Hometown Le Mars celebration. The program includes a chip-timed 5K and a non-chip-timed Kid's Dash. The 5K is an out-and-back course that starts and finishes at the Olsen Cultural Event Center and follows residential streets and a paved trail.
Registration fees for the 5K vary by date: $35 if registered by November 15, $40 from November 16 to November 27, and $45 the day of the race. The Kid's Dash fee is $10. Credit card payments include a 3% service charge. Registration is processed through RaceRoster and check-in takes place at the Knights of Columbus Hall (KC Hall).
Event rules and logistics include: streets will not be closed and volunteers will assist with directing traffic; ear buds and headphones are not recommended; young children must run with a responsible adult for the 5K; no dogs are allowed; and there are no refunds for weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Day-of registrations are accepted but event swag is not guaranteed. Awards are given for 1st–3rd overall, all age divisions, and there are Best Dressed prizes for festive attire.
