Event overview
The Snow Scamper 5K takes place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Hinton, Iowa (51024). The course covers 3.1 miles (5K) and is based at Hillview Recreation Area, address 25601 C60. Participants are asked to park at the Center for Outdoor Learning to check in. Snow-shoes will be available to borrow for the event. Race awards and refreshments are provided after the final finisher.

The registration fee is $30 and includes a pom beanie with the race logo (new for this year). Registration closes on January 23, 2026. Refunds are not offered; if a registrant does not participate, the registration fee will be used as a donation to the Plymouth County Conservation Foundation.
