Frozen Fun Run
The Frozen Fun Run is a chip timed 5K held in Le Mars, Iowa, with the start and finish at the Olson Cultural Events Center on 1st Street Northeast. The course travels through residential areas of Le Mars and connects to the local recreation trail.
The event is part of the four day Ice Cream Days festival. Volunteers will hand out free Bomb Pops along the route. Post race activities include awards on a stage, post race snacks, and other Ice Cream Days attractions located near the finish area. Medals and prizes are planned for overall top male and female finishers and for age group winners; second and third places in each age group will receive certificates.
Registration fees vary by date: $30 before May 25, $35 from May 26 through June 20, and $40 for day of registration. A shirt or tank top can be added for an additional $12 if chosen by June 1; shirts are not included with registration.
Other information: streets will not be closed and volunteers will assist with traffic. Earbuds and headphones are not recommended. Young children must run with a responsible adult. Dogs are not permitted. No refunds will be given for weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
