Frozen Fun Run - Le Mars, IA
The Frozen Fun Run is a chip-timed 5K held on June 20, 2026, with the start and finish located at the Olson Cultural Events Center in downtown Le Mars. The route passes through residential areas and connects to the local recreation trail.
This event is part of the four-day Ice Cream Days celebration in Le Mars. Volunteers will distribute free Bomb Pops along the course. Post-race activities include awards presented on a stage and post-race snacks. A parade associated with Ice Cream Days begins a block from the race finish.
Registration fees vary by date: $30 for registrations completed before May 25, $35 for registrations from May 26 through June 20, and $40 for day-of registration. T-shirts or tank tops are available for an additional $12; shirts must be added by June 1 and are not included in basic registration.
Streets on the course will remain open; volunteers will assist with directing traffic. Earbuds and headphones are not recommended. Young children must participate with a responsible adult. Dogs are not permitted on the course. No refunds will be issued for weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Check-in and race-day registration are available at the KC Hall (120 1st Ave NE, Le Mars, IA 51031) on the day before and the day of the event. Medals and prizes are awarded to overall and age-group finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
