Siouxperman Triathlon
The event is a sprint-distance triathlon composed of an indoor swim, a bike leg, and a run. The swim and transition area are located in the All Seasons Center.
The swim takes place in a heated 6-lane pool, is 300 yards in total, is supervised by lifeguards, and uses lap counters. Swimmers remain in their lanes from start to finish. WetSuite is optional; use of a snorkel or similar swimming aid makes an athlete ineligible for awards. Fins, paddles, and propulsion devices are prohibited.
Relay teams may consist of two or three people and participants may be any age. Teams are separated into women, men, and coed divisions with composition rules for each.
The bike course is listed as 25K and is described as an out-and-back route that gently rolls through farm country; the site also describes the route in miles as 15 miles with 7.5 miles each way. The run is a 5K out-and-back that begins at the All Seasons Center and follows a hard-surfaced recreation trail through residential areas. There will be two aid stations on the run course.
The event is limited to the first 300 entrants. There are no refunds and no same-day registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
