Silicon Valley Santa Run
The Silicon Valley Santa Run is the 15th annual event benefiting Christmas in the Park in San Jose, California. It features in-person and virtual running options and community-focused activities around the holiday season.
The in-person 5K run/walk begins near W Santa Clara Street at Almaden Avenue and concludes at Christmas in the Park. The course is described as flat and fast. A post-race festival takes place at Christmas in the Park with decorations and booths.
Distances and youth categories:
- 5K run/walk
- Ages 2 to 3 : 100 yards
- Ages 4 to 5 : 200 yards
- Ages 6 to 7 : 300 yards
Registration items and participant inclusions vary by event. In-person 5K participants receive a long-sleeved tech shirt, an ornament-style finisher medal, and a race bib with professional timing; post-race refreshments and festival access are noted. Kids Reindeer Dash participants receive a short-sleeved t-shirt, ornament-style finisher medal, race bib, and milk and cookies at the finish. Virtual participants receive comparable apparel and a finisher medal; free shipping is available if registered by December 7 and race packets are mailed the week of December 8.
