Santa Run Silicon Valley

Santa Run Silicon Valley is an annual holiday running event and fundraiser benefiting Christmas in the Park in San Jose, California. The 2026 edition is the 15th annual and is held December 13 with related activities through December 20. The course begins at W Santa Clara St and Almaden Ave and concludes at Christmas in the Park.

Event formats and distances:

• 5K run/walk
• Kids Reindeer Dash: ages 2-3 100 yd; 4-5 200 yd; 6-7 300 yd

Both the in-person and virtual options are offered for the 5K and the Kids Reindeer Dash. Standard registration inclusions for in-person 5K participants are a festive long-sleeved tech shirt, an ornament-style finisher medal, a race bib with timing chip, post-race refreshments, and access to the post-race festival at Christmas in the Park. Kids Reindeer Dash participants receive a festive short-sleeved t-shirt, an ornament-style finisher medal, a race bib, and milk and cookies at the finish.

Virtual entries include similar apparel and medals, with free shipping available for registrations completed by December 7; virtual 5K entries also include access to the RaceJoy tracking app and race packets are mailed the week of December 8. Additional participation tiers include Santa's Helper, which includes a 5-piece Santa suit and gift bag, and Holiday Hero sponsorship levels with specified branding benefits.
