Double Road Race - Palo Alto
Double Road Race in Palo Alto is a multi-event running day held on December 12, 2026 in Palo Alto, California. The event offers several distances and a signature two-stage format called Double Racing.
Distances included:
- Double 15K: 10K leg, halftime break, then 5K leg.
- Palo Alto 10K
- Palo Alto 5K Run/Walk
- Kids 1 Mile for age 13 and under
- 1 Mile open to all ages
Double Racing consists of two stages. Participants run the first, take a halftime break, then run a second stage; the two times are added together for scoring. Participants must complete both stages to receive an official time. The second stage restarts 1 hour 45 minutes after the start of the first leg.
Courses run on a paved, wide bike and running path through the Palo Alto baylands. The course is largely paved and car free. The event is hosted by UjENA Fit Club and has been held as a pre-Christmas community event since 2012.
Entry fees include an official long sleeve race shirt, a tote bag, and a finisher medal. Age-group winners receive special medals and trophies; the Double 15K awards prize money totaling $200 for overall winners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
