San Diego Donut Dash
San Diego Donut Dash is a community running event held at Kit Carson Park in Escondido, California. The event features multiple distances and a finish-line festival with donuts.
The program includes a 5K race and a novelty Donut Mile. The 5K finisher receives a donut themed medal. A festival and a free donut bar are provided at the finish area, with the event noting more than 1,000 donuts available.
The Donut Mile is limited to 100 participants. Each Donut Mile participant must eat four donuts during the event, one per quarter mile lap. The first finisher of the Donut Mile is awarded a Donut Championship Belt.
A Kid's Dash offers a 400 yard out-and-back course. Children who complete the Kid's Dash receive a race bib and a participation medal.
Event shirts are optional and sold for an additional fee. Some race entries have limited spots and registration fees apply. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
