San Diego Donut Dash

San Diego Donut Dash takes place at Kit Carson Park, Bear Valley Parkway, Escondido, California on October 3, 2026. The event combines organized running distances with a finish-line festival that includes a free donut bar, a donut-themed finisher's medal, and more than 1,000 donuts available at the festival.

The program includes a competitive novelty race called the Donut Mile, a 5K distance, and a Kid's Dash. The Donut Mile is limited to 100 participants; each Donut Mile participant is required to eat four donuts during the event (one donut per quarter mile lap). The first-place finisher in the Donut Mile receives a Donut Championship Belt. The Kid's Dash is a 400 yard out-and-back course; participating children receive a race bib and a medal.
