Lake Hodges Trail Duathlon
The Lake Hodges Trail Duathlon is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the Piedras Pintadas Trailhead near Lake Hodges. The event is part of the Elevation Culture Race Series and is open to ages 10 - 80. It is a trail duathlon with a run, bike, run format and a combined distance of about 23 miles.

- Run 10k (about 6.2 miles)
- Bike 22k (about 13.7 miles)
- Run 5k (about 3.1 miles)
Race format and rules
The event uses chip timing; transition times are not separately recorded. Riders must wear an approved helmet for the entire bike leg. Approved bike types listed include mountain, gravel, and hybrid bikes; electric bikes are not permitted. The event is cupless, so aid stations will not provide disposable cups.
Logistics, finishers and awards
Packet pick up options include pre-race pickup at Milestone Running Store (North Park) from October 13-15, and race day check in beginning at 5:30 am. Primary parking is inside the trail parking area, along Bernardo Road, and at Bernardo Park. All finishers receive a custom tri-blend shirt and a handcrafted wooden medal; the last day to register to guarantee a finisher shirt and medal is October 7, 2026. Awards are handed out at the finish line to the top three male and female finishers and by category for teams and bike types. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
