San Antonio New Years Eve 5k
The San Antonio New Years Eve 5k takes place on December 31, 2026 at the Pearsall Park trail head in San Antonio, TX. The event offers several 5k options: an adult 5k, a 12 and under 5k, a Virtual 5k, and a 5k option without a medal.

Packet pick up is handled at the race location on race day only. Each packet includes a race bib with timing chip and the race apparel item assigned at registration or upgrade. The first 100 adult registrants receive a 1/4 zip jacket upgrade; other adult registrants receive a long sleeve shirt. Headlamps are required for all participants; they can be purchased and will be included in the packet if ordered.
The course is an out and back on the Pearsall Park trail. There is no parking or restrooms at the trail head; the closest parking and restrooms are a short walk from the trail head and use of the main Pearsall Park parking lot is indicated. Runners are asked to stay to the right on the out and back course. Strollers must be well lit and start at the back of the field for safety.
Age group awards are planned across multiple categories and awards are given for Top Overall and Top Masters, which include a free entry to the 2025 Winter Dragon 5k or alternative Edragon events as noted by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
