Event
The 13th Annual Head for the Cure 5K - San Antonio is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Providence Catholic School, 1215 N St Mary’s St, San Antonio, TX 78215. The event raises funds and awareness for brain cancer research, education, and related programs. Locally designated beneficiaries include University Health, Jaxon's FROG Foundation, and Path to Hope. The campaign has raised $288.45 toward a $60,000 goal. The event schedule includes a day-before packet pick-up (TBD), on-site packet pick-up, a Kids Fun Run (untimed 100 distance for children 9 or younger), a brain tumor survivor photo, and community recognitions.

Registration options and fees listed by the organizer:
- Early Bird 5K Registration: $34.00; includes event t-shirt, timing bib, and medal. Ages 9 and up.
- Early Bird 5K Registration + Dog: $49.00; includes person t-shirt and timing bib, and a dog bandana; participants and dogs receive medals at the finish.
- Kids Fun Run: $25.00; for children 9 or younger; includes event t-shirt and ribbon.
- Virtual Registration: $40.00; includes event t-shirt and finishers medal mailed to the participant; virtual registrants cannot pick up race materials in person.
