Great Springs Trail Race - Natural Bridge Caverns
This event takes place at Natural Bridge Caverns and offers multiple trail race formats on wooded trails and rolling hills, plus underground cavern access for several distances. Regular distance racers begin with a short in-cave section before emerging onto surface trails and returning to a central race hub.

The Last Person Standing format uses a core loop of 4.1667 miles for runners and 2.47 miles for ruckers. Laps begin on an hourly cycle; a competitor must complete a loop in under 60 minutes to be eligible to start the next loop. Last Person Standing entrants receive a Discovery Tour pass and finishing the 24th lap upgrades that pass to a Hidden Wonders Tour.
Course and support details include prominent markings (orange caution tape, yellow arrows, and confidence markers) and signage at split points. Aid station support includes one on-course aid station for the 16-mile race and a full station at the finish/next-lap arch stocked with food and drinks; night provisions include hot options. The event is cupless; participants should bring their own cup or purchase a collapsible cup on site.
Ruck division rules require mandatory weigh-in, with 20 lb required for participants under 150 lb and 30 lb for those over 150 lb; weight must be carried on the back and cannot be consumable or wearable. Chip timing uses ankle-worn chips. Pacers are not allowed. Awards are given for top finishers by gender and masters categories for the distance races; Last Person Standing awards one male and one female winner.
