Miles 4 Muscles
Miles 4 Muscles is a community athletic event held at Comanche Park in San Antonio, Texas. The event takes place along the Salado Creek Greenway, featuring a scenic and shaded trail for participants. This race serves as a fundraiser to support the ALS Association, raising awareness and funds for research, advocacy, and care services for individuals and families affected by ALS.
The event offers several participation options:
- 4 Mile Run/Walk
- 5 Km Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Walk
- Virtual Run
The 4 Mile distance is specifically chosen to represent the four-year period a local community member fought the disease. The course utilizes the local greenway system, providing a natural setting for the run and walk.
Participants who cannot attend in person may choose the Virtual Run category. Virtual registrants can complete their chosen distance at any location and upload their times digitally until the end of October. These participants receive an event shirt and a finisher medal via mail or local pickup.
The event is open to all ages, with specific registration tiers for children. Participants aged 4 to 10 can take part with a registered adult, while children aged 3 and under may participate for free. Race day packet pickup is available at the race site at Pavilion #3 starting one hour before the official start. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
