El Taco Loco
El Taco Loco is a trail running event on November 14, 2026 at the Land Heritage Institute, 1349 Neal Rd, San Antonio, TX. The event is organized by Rise Racing Co and limits entries to 500 runners.
The event offers multiple distance options:
- 100 miles, six 15 mile loops plus a 10 mile section
- 100K, four 15.5 mile loops
- 50K, two 15.5 mile loops
- 25K, one 15.1 mile loop
- 10K, one 10K loop
- 5K, one 5K loop
- 104K 4 Man Relay and Ruck
- 100K Relay
The course is mainly single track with soft footing and areas of loose gravel. Trails run through open meadows and follow sections along the Medina River. The site has a history of trail running and horse endurance use.
Participants receive event amenities including a custom medal, a choice of swag, full aid stations, volunteer support, chip timing, and free race photos. All finishers receive medals and buckles designed to hold a taco. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
