Event Overview

Course Details
The race takes place on the paved greenway trails along Leon Creek, part of San Antonio's linear park system. The course features a mix of sun and shade, with long flat sections and some small hills. The event is typically held in November, a period associated with cooler weather in the region. The course includes multiple water stations. Participants are advised to pay attention to course markings to find their correct turnaround points.
Distances & Pricing
The event offers several distances:
- 20 mile - $99
- 21k - $99
- 10 mile - $60
- 5k (run or competitive walk) - $45
- .05k fun run - $45
A fee increase of $5 applies 15 days and again 5 days before the event, with an additional $10 increase on race day.
Awards & Timing
Every finisher receives a medal. Participants who complete all four races in the Alamo Beer Series receive an additional medal. Awards are given for 1st through 4th place in the 5k, 10 mile, 21k, and 20 mile distances. Age group categories are extensive, starting from 14 and under up to 90+. Overall awards are based on Gun Time, while age group awards use Chip Time due to a wave start.

Packet pickup is available the day before the race at Fleet Feet San Antonio - Culebra Commons and on race morning starting at 6 a.m. The event supports several charities.
