Battle of Leon Creek 20 Mile
The Battle of Leon Creek is the final race of the four-part Alamo Beer Challenge. Located in San Antonio, the event takes place on paved trails through the city's linear parks. The course features rolling hills, inclines, and sections with tree cover as it follows the creek bed of Leon Creek. Participants can utilize this event to monitor their training progress for upcoming marathon seasons.
The event offers several race distances to accommodate different preferences:
- 20 mile
- 21k (half marathon)
- 10 mile
- 5k
- .05k Fun Run
Awards are presented to the first overall male and female, first overall masters male and female, and the top four finishers in various age categories. These categories range from 14 and under up to 90+. Results are based on chip timing due to the wave start format. Specific categories also exist for participants who wish to walk the entire course.
Amenities for the race include a super soft tri-blend unisex shirt with a unique design for the event. The post-race area provides food and beer for participants. Dedicated virtual options are available for those who cannot attend in person, allowing them to complete their distance at a time and location of their choosing.
