Sam's Love : event description
Sam's Love is a nonprofit that supplies baby books at no cost to families affected by stillbirth and pregnancy loss. The organization describes its mission as improving bereavement care by providing books that families and friends can use to remember and share their child. Sam's Love is registered as a Louisiana 501(c)(3) and distributes books through more than 25 partner organizations nationwide.
The community event takes place on February 14, 2026, at Forsythe Park in Monroe, Louisiana. It is the third 5K held in memory of the organizer's child who was born sleeping on January 27, 2021. Funds raised at the event are directed to ordering books and supporting the Sam's Love program.
