Sammy's Hope 5K Run/Walk
Sammy's Hope 5K Run/Walk takes place on June 20, 2026 at the Sayreville Sports Complex in Sayreville, NJ. The event supports Sammy's Hope Animal Welfare and Adoption Center, a 501(c)(3) organization that shelters and places homeless dogs and cats.
The event offers two course options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Run/Walk
The course is a trail run and dogs are not allowed on the trail during the event. The course is not USATF certified. Personalized bibs are available for participants who register three weeks in advance. A T shirt is guaranteed for participants who register by June 1.
Event services include live online, email, and text results, free finish line photos, and same day video and finish line pictures. A BarkBox gift certificate will be raffled. Awards recognize the top overall male and female, the top fundraising individual, and the top fundraising team.
Team registration options are available and group pricing applies when teams register together. Registration fees include processing charges and are non refundable. Participants must agree to standard event terms and waivers, which include release of liability and permission for event organizers to use photos and recordings for event purposes.
Bib pickup is handled by event staff before the event; a self lookup is available for those who do not know their bib number. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
