Saltire Trail Races
The Saltire Trail Races take place at Kilduff Farm, Athelstaneford, East Lothian EH39 5BD on 9 May 2026. The event offers three race options: a 10 km trail race, a 5 km trail race and a 2 km fun run for children. All ages are welcome.
Routes run entirely on a private estate and include a mix of trail, tarmac and field boundary surfaces. There are no road crossings on the courses. Entry fees are listed as £15 for the 10 km, £10 for the 5 km and £5 for the 2 km. Entries are limited to 100 places for the 10 km, 60 places for the 5 km and 80 places for the 2 km. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up.
All finishers receive a medal. Winners receive prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers; a £100 cash prize is stated for the first male and female in the 5 km and 10 km events. Proceeds from the races are donated to Athelstaneford Primary School Parent Council (Charity No: SC044133).
The village summer fair runs during and after the races, offering a BBQ, drinks, cakes, games and additional activities for families. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
