Fife Pretty Muddy 5k at Beveridge Park
Fife Pretty Muddy is a 5k obstacle event held on Sunday 10 May 2026 at Beveridge Park, Abbotshall Road, Kirkcaldy KY2 5LZ. The course starts and finishes on grass and loops around the park, moving between the perimeter pavement and grass, passing the boating lake and play parks. The route includes some steep hills.
The event format uses staggered wave starts every 15 minutes. The obstacle course requires participants to climb, crawl and slide; marshals are on hand and obstacles may be skipped if needed. Participants must be 13 years of age or older to take part. Pretty Muddy Kids events are available separately for children aged 12 and under.
Practical information includes no general event parking on site, with Beveridge Park Car Park used for drop offs and Blue Badge parking. The closest train station is Kirkcaldy, about a 10 minute walk, and a number of bus services stop a short walk from the park. The nearest park entrance to the start line is on Abbotshall Road. There are no bike racks available.
Facilities on site include refreshments and toilets. Dogs, bag drop and showers are not available. The event is not suitable for pushchairs or for wheelchair users. Sunflower wristbands, trained Event Managers and a QR code for British Sign Language stage content are provided to support accessibility.
Entry fees listed are Adults £22.49 and Children £12.00. The minimum fundraising target is £50. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training materials, access to an online community and a Race for Life medal.
