Saltire 24 Ultra Trail Race

Saltire is a lapped endurance trail event held at Knockburn Sports Loch on the Knockburn estate in Strachan, Banchory, in Royal Deeside. The course follows waymarked multi‑terrain trails beside Kerloch Hill and Fetteresso Forest and uses a 4.2 mile lap within the estate.

The event offers multiple time based race options and accepts entries for solo runners and for teams. Team entries allow between two and eight members and only one team member may be running at any time. The minimum age to take part is 18 years or older.

Fixed and mobile safety marshals and medics are positioned around the course. Peripheral support is provided from the event base in the Sports Academy and there is access to a nearby shower block adjacent to the conference centre. Portable toilets at the event are gender neutral. Shower facilities are labelled male and female and may be used by anyone on the side they feel comfortable with.
