Saltire 24, 12 and 6
Saltire 24, 12 and 6 is a lapped endurance trail running event held at Knockburn Sports Loch in Strachan, Banchory, in Royal Deeside, Scotland. The course follows waymarked multi‑terrain trails beside Kerloch Hill and Fetteresso Forest within the Knockburn estate.
The event offers three timed options:
- 24 hour option
- 12 hour option
- 6 hour option
The lap distance is 4.2 miles. Teams may enter in groups of 2 to 8, with only one team member running on the course at any time; solo entry is also available. Fixed and mobile safety marshals and medics are deployed around the course. Peripheral support is provided at the Sports Academy and there is access to the nearby shower block. Limited serviced camping is available for the duration of the event.
The minimum age for entry is 18. The event states it is LGBTQ+ and non binary friendly; event portaloos are gender neutral and shower facilities are available on either side according to participant comfort.
