Morven Hill Race

Morven Hill Race 2025, held at Groddie, By Dinnet, Aboyne in Aberdeenshire (grid NJ410044), is the final event in the Aberdeenshire Hillrace Series. The program includes three races: the Main Morven (8.8 km with about 660 m of ascent), the Half Morven (4.0 km, 400 m climb), and Mini Morven (1.8 km, 125 m). The courses run on good tracks, starting on a walker’s access path and climbing Morven to above the ruined Balhennie cottage, then descending via a bealach below Roar Hill to the finish.

The routes are marked; separate starts for male and female competitors help reduce congestion, and the event supports a U20 junior league. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
