Metro Dyce Half Marathon
Metro Aberdeen Running Club organises the Dyce half marathon on 23 August 2026, with the event based at the Pitmedden Playing Field in Dyce. The event also includes races for children on the same day.
Entry is online only via Entry Central. There is an overall entry limit of 99 places and entries close on 21 August or when the limit is reached. Entry fees are £20 for non registered runners and £17 for Scottish Athletics members. Race entries are non refundable but may be transferred to another person up to midnight on Wednesday 19 August by contacting the organiser. No entries are accepted on the day.
Registration takes place in the Scout Hut on Pitmedden Road in Dyce and bibs are issued until shortly before the race.
The course starts with a clockwise loop of the playing field, follows the Buchan and Formartine Way for about 6.5 miles to a turn, then retraces to the playing field and finishes after an anticlockwise loop. There are two water stations on the route which serve as four stops due to the out and back sections, located at about 3.5, 5, 8 and 9.5 miles.
Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers and to first male and female in age categories O/40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75 and 80. All finishers receive a memento and refreshments are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
