Metro Aberdeen Dyce Half Marathon
Metro Aberdeen Running Club stages the Metro Aberdeen Dyce Half Marathon on 23 August 2026. The half marathon is run along the Formartine and Buchan Way, starting at the Pitmedden Playing Field in Dyce, on an out and back course. A total of 99 places are allocated for the event.
Entry fees are £17 for SA EA WA members and £20 for non members. Entries close on 21 August and a waiting list is available until that date. There are no refunds; entries may be transferred to another person up to midnight on Wednesday 19 August 2026, subject to approval by the race director.
The event also includes free junior races:
- 2 mile race for 14 to 16 year olds
- 800 metre race for 11 to 13 year olds
- fun run for children under 10 years
All finishers receive a bespoke memento, an age restricted beer for over 18s and a selection of snacks. Water will be supplied at stages on the route and refreshments will be available after the race. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and to first male and female winners in age categories from 40 to 80 in five year bands. Registration and race numbers are distributed on the day from the Scout Hut up to 15 minutes before the race. Toilet and changing facilities are available at the Dyce Boys Club hut; changing areas will be secured during the race but the organisers accept no responsibility for loss of clothing or equipment.
