Steall Ultra 50K

The Steall Ultra 50K is a linear mountain race held in the Scottish Highlands. The course covers approximately 47 km with a total height gain of 3,100 m. The route traverses the Mamores mountain range, linking five Munro summits in a journey that includes technical rocky sections, mountain trails, and forestry tracks.

The race begins in Kinlochleven and climbs steeply up An Cumham toward Loch Eildhe Mor. Runners follow stalkers' paths to the summit of Sgor Eilde Beag before continuing across the ridgeline to Mullach nan Coirean. After a descent into Glen Nevis, the path joins the Ben Nevis tourist trail and passes beneath the north face cliffs of Ben Nevis toward the CIC hut. The final section leads through Leanachan Forest and concludes at the Nevis Range via a steep mountain bike trail.

Participants are supported by a single aid station located at the 31 km mark in Glen Nevis, providing hydration and snacks. The course is fully waymarked, and finishers receive a medal. This event is a UTMB index race and provides 3 ITRA points.
