Trail Running in the Scottish Highlands
The Glencoe Marathon Gathering is an off-road event organized by WildFox Events Ltd, located within the landscape of the Scottish Highlands. The event provides participants with a choice of two distinct distances that traverse mountain terrain and ancient routes.

- Half Marathon
The Full Marathon follows a course that leads runners through the mountains, starting from the foot of Ben Nevis and concluding in Glencoe. This route avoids paved roads in favor of hill and mountain trails. The Half Marathon joins the main marathon course at Kinlochleven. Participants on this shorter route also navigate the section of the trail known as the Devil's Staircase.
Both routes are designed as off-road trail running adventures, focusing on the natural environment and panoramic views of the highland scenery. The event takes place annually in September, with the 2026 edition scheduled for Sunday, September 6th.
