Sea to Summit: Ben Nevis Ultramarathon
The Sea to Summit: Ben Nevis is a one-day mountain ultramarathon in rural Scotland. The course covers a distance of 28 miles (45 km) with approximately 5400 ft of elevation gain. This event is part of the National 3 Peaks Trilogy and takes participants from the Atlantic coast of Loch Linnhe to the summit of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the United Kingdom.
The route consists of 95% trails, crossing through ancient woodland, past waterfalls, gorges, and remote moorland. The terrain includes fire roads, marshy sections, and technical descents. The entire course is fully waymarked with orange arrows, and professional mountain safety staff are positioned at key locations on the mountain. Participants are not required to follow a GPX file or possess map-reading skills.
The event is designed with a 3 mph completion pace to be accessible to a wide range of adventurers. Support is provided through three stocked pit stops offering water, hot drinks, fruit, and snacks. Medical support is managed by professional paramedics and doctors with private ambulance access.

- A mandatory coach transfer is provided from the Nevis Range Mountain Experience Resort to the coastal start line.
- Finishers receive a medal, and those who complete all three events in the series are awarded a gold Trilogy medal.
- Mandatory kit includes trail running shoes, a hydration system (1L - 2L), a waterproof jacket with taped seams, and a survival bag.
