Salmon Run 5K

The Salmon Run 5K takes place on April 11, 2026 in Huntsville, AL. The 2026 location is on the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) campus at 514 Fraternity and Sorority Row, Huntsville, AL 35805. The event is returning for its sixth year.

Purpose and event details

The race raises money for cancer research and treatment. All proceeds from the race and the accompanying wing festival benefit the Russell Hill Cancer Foundation and the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology. The event honors the memory of a brother and leader from the Theta Pi chapter of ATO at UAH who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2006 and treated at Clearview Cancer Institute.

Entry fee is listed as $30, with the price increasing after March 4, 2026 at 11:59pm CST. The first 125 registered runners will receive a Salmon Run 5K T-shirt.
