HBCU STEM Education Run - Huntsville
The HBCU STEM Education Run is a series of in-person and virtual run/walk options based at Oakwood University Campus Drive NW in Huntsville, Alabama. The event raises funds and awareness to support HBCU STEM students through scholarships and career resources. Funds raised are dedicated to an HBCU and the signature 5K supports the stated mission to educate, empower, and elevate HBCU STEM students.
Registration options and participant benefits vary by entry type and include items such as an official premium tech T-shirt, commemorative finisher medal, runner's bib or digital bib, swag bag with a raffle ticket, a six-week training program (live or virtual), shipping for virtual entries, team creation tools, and an easy-to-use fundraising page. Some in-person entries include discounts at local partners.
All participants receive a commemorative finisher medal beginning in 2027. The course is USATF certified. Strollers are welcome. The event includes onsite packet pickup and an award ceremony with a scholarship presentation after the race.
