Singing River Runs : April 11, 2026

The Singing River Runs is the fourth edition of a race weekend that benefits the Singing River Trail. The event includes multiple distances and is held in Mooresville, Alabama, with the start and finish at the Singing River House. The Singing River Trail is planned as a 200 plus mile greenway system intended to connect communities across North Alabama and to support education, health and wellness, economic and tourism opportunities.

Distances offered include:

  • 25K
  • 10K
  • 5K

All courses are on packed dirt and gravel roads through the Mooresville area. Routes pass through 1818 Farms, run to the river and return, and are shaded by a canopy of trees. Courses for 2026 are listed as non certified. Parking is available along Old Hwy 20, about 0.2 miles from the start and finish area.

The event is held in conjunction with the Blue Heron Hundreds, which includes a 100 mile, 100K and 50K. All participants receive a special award; overall male, female and masters winners in the 25K, 10K and 5K receive special awards. Awards by 10 year age groups are provided for male and female divisions in these ranges: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80 and over.

Sponsors named for the event include Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama and REI Sports. Packet pickup is provided at an offsite location in Huntsville and at the race site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
