Event overview

The Singing River Runs takes place on April 11, 2026 in Mooresville, AL. This is the fourth running of the event and it benefits the Singing River Trail, a planned 200+ mile greenway system in North Alabama. The race is held in conjunction with the Blue Heron Hundreds, which includes a 100 miler, 100K and 50K. Sponsors include Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama and REI Sports.

Course and logistics

All distances begin and end at the Singing River House, 4865 Arrowhead Landing Road, Mooresville, AL 35649. Courses run on packed dirt and gravel roads through the 1818 Farms area, to the river and back. The routes are shaded by trees. All 2026 courses are non-certified.

Parking is available along Old Hwy 20, approximately 0.2 miles from the start/finish area. Packet pickup is available at RunningLane on the day before the race and at the race site on race day. Registration closes on April 8, 2026 (check organizer information for current status).

Awards and additional information

All participants receive a special award. Overall and masters winners in the 25K, 10K, and 5K receive special awards. Awards are also given in 10-year age groups for male and female participants, from 14 and under through 80 and over. Participants can remain after the runs for music, snacks, and to watch longer-distance events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
