Race Information
The Saint Andrews Brew Co. Wharfbound 19k & 11k & 5k (Year 6) takes place on May 16, 2026, in Saint Andrews, New Brunswick. The start is at Market Wharf. The event is held as part of the Paddlefest Arts and Music Festival, with a provisional cap of 150 runners.
Three distances are offered:
- 19 km
- 11 km
- 5 km (a new distance added in 2025, called the "5km Seafoam Scramble")
The course is primarily on the beach, varying between sand, rocks, seaweed, and mud, with some road sections. Runners must choose their own path across the wide beach at the start. Specific course features include Pottery Cove and a turnaround spot below the iconic 12th hole of the Algonquin golf course. The 19 km route involves circumnavigating Minister's Island at low tide. All runners must be back before the incoming tide or risk being stranded.
Proper trail running shoes with good traction are required. Every runner must also carry a cell phone for emergencies. Safety support is provided by the Saint Andrews Fire Department and Charlotte County Ground Search and Rescue. Post-race refreshments are sponsored by the Saint Andrews Brewing Company.
